MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Christmas will be extra special this year for one lottery player in Menasha.
Officials announced Thursday a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 901 Racine Road in Menasha for the Dec. 18 drawing. The ticket matched four of five numbers (6-15-18-33-49) and the Powerball (7).
The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1 in 913,130.
Earlier this year, another lucky ticket was sold at the same Kwik Trip on Racine Road. A customer instantly won $20,000 after purchasing a $1 Fast Play Progressive Bingo ticket.
If you’d like to try your luck in the next Powerball drawing Saturday, the estimated jackpot is $88 million.
Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in the drawing. Powerball tickets cost $2 each, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
Meanwhile, the Mega-Millions jackpot up for grabs tonight is expected to reach $825 million. It’s the largest December lottery jackpot ever.
