(247NEWSSOURCE) CLEVELAND – David Fry lifted the Guardians to a 7-5 victory over the Yankees after hitting a walk off two-run homer in Game Three of the ALCS at Progressive Field.
Fry went deep in the bottom of the 10th after Jhonkensy Noel hit a pinch hit two-run shot to tie the game with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Fry says this was a great finish to the game.
Fry says they proved they’re never out of it.
Pedro Avila was credited with the win after striking out two without allowing a run over an inning of relief.
Clay Holmes was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning.
Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton hit back to back home runs for the Yanks in the top of the eighth.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone says the Guardians deserved to win the game.
Boone says this is a tough loss to swallow.
New York is now leading the best of seven series 2-1 and will face Cleveland in Game Four Friday night.
