WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A potential threat toward Waupaca High School was deemed not credible, police say.
At 5:30 a.m. Friday, police were notified of a potential threat made against the high school and began their investigation. They determined the threat to be not credible.
As a precaution, a backpack search was conducted and officers will be present throughout the high school and other schools in the district Friday.
Students and parents are encouraged to come forward immediately anytime they hear of a potential threat so proper action can be taken.
