GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A wellness center in Green Bay made healthy living look fun.
The Wellness Way on W. Mason Street hosted its Back to School event Friday.
The free, public event features doctors and staff sharing tips on maintaining health and wellness for students throughout the school year.
It also had bounce houses, games and a dunk tank.
Wellness Way staff spoke on a variety of topics, including how to pack a nutritious lunch, the importance of staying active at recess, choosing the right backpack, building up kids’ immune systems and managing stress and mental health.
Dr. Jason Nobles of Wellness Way says by implementing some of these healthy tips, students can do better in school.
“It’s all important, right? Because if you’re setting a schedule, you get kids in a rhythm, the body works on a circadian rhythm, so the better you can get into a routine of learning and health, that way the better the body is able to adapt and heal and take care of itself,” he said.
If you were unable to make the event, you can contact Wellness Way for a consultation.
