GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An email threatening a “Green Bay Area public school revolution” came from a student’s account that had been hacked, school officials say.
According to a note sent from the district to families, police investigated and found the email message was not credible.
“We want you to be aware, should your child mention the message to you, you can assure them that the message was investigated and not credible,” the note to parents read.
District officials say reporting of the message by students, staff members and parents was a good example of people speaking up when they see something suspicious.
