GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — This weekend has Green Bay Packers fans on high alert as they anticipate the upcoming game that could take them into the playoffs.
The matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions on Sunday night will include many festivities to get fans excited; fireworks will go off an hour before kickoff, a lucky fan will win a vehicle, and more.
Aaron Popkey, Packers Director of Public Affairs, says the players are going to be introduced in a fun way.
“During pregame introduction, the lights go off, we play an exciting video as the team gets introduced,” said Popkey. “When they run out, we flicker the stadium lights. That adds a little more excitement.”
Nick Meisner, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Discover Green Bay, said hotels in the area are filled already; with less than 10% of rooms vacant.
“There will be about $15 million of indirect and direct economic impact,” said Meisner. “That’s real dollars from those people who are visiting our community.”
The Sunday night game is set for 7:20 p.m.
