GREEN BAY (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two key members of the Green Bay Packers’ Super Bowl XLV championship team will be inducted into the franchise’s hall of fame next year.
Nelson played for the Packers from 2008-17. He appeared in 136 regular-season games, starting 88. Nelson ranks fourth in Packers history with 550 receptions, sixth with 7,848 receiving yards and third with 69 touchdown receptions. He was a second-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection in 2014. After missing the 2015 season with a knee injury, Nelson was the 2016 Comeback Player of the Year in the NFL.
Like Nelson, Sitton formally retired as a Packer. He signed his ceremonial contract in 2019 after finishing his career with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
Ticket details for the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet are set to be released later.
