GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 150,000 Wisconsin Public Service and We Energies customers have the lights back on as of noon Friday.
The utilities say 90% of WPS customers who lost power during Wednesday’s storms should have electrical service restored by the end of Friday.
We Energies customers in the Fox Valley may have to wait until Sunday afternoon. The utilities say the most extensive damage is in the Fox Valley, and many circuits will need to be rebuilt.
WPS and We Energies have more than 900 people working to restore power, including crews from around the Midwest. Crews are working around the clock.
Utility customers who receive Wisconsin FoodShare benefits and lost food because of a power outage or other storm damage are eligible to request replacement benefits.
