ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Some Ashwaubenon high school students are dedicating their futures to tech careers.
The students participated in a career/ technical education sign up event Monday.
The students have pathways, training, apprenticeships and internships laid out before them following graduation.
A number of local companies and business partners also attended the event.
Ashwaubenon High School principal, Dirk Ribbens, gave a special thanks to the community.
“We’re really grateful to the Ashwaubenon community, to our parents, to a whole bunch of local business sponsors. If we were to look around this room, we’d see things that were sponsored, given to us, from metal shops and engineering firms and automotive companies, just a lot of support from around the community,” he said.
Ribbens says that students are exposed to the world of business education, family consumer science and tech education starting in middle school and throughout high school.
