OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has been sentenced for traveling to Oshkosh for sex with what he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say Scott Sundberg, 42, of Ishpeming, chatted online with an undercover law enforcement officer who was posing as the girl’s mother.
On Aug. 13, he traveled to a motel to meet the girl. He was arrested when he arrived.
Sundberg was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by six years on supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
