COMBINED LOCKS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A deadly motorcycle crash in Combined Locks involved two Kimberly High School students, the district confirms.
The district has identified the driver of the motorcycle as 17-year-old Anthony Douglas, a senior at the high school.
He died from his injuries at an area hospital following Monday’s crash on Buchanan Road.
Meanwhile his passenger, a 17-year-old girl, also a senior at Kimberly High School, remains in critical condition.
‘The district was informed of a motorcycle accident involving two Kimberly High School seniors yesterday. Anthony Douglas suffered fatal injuries and the passenger is in critical condition. Our condolences go out to Anthony’s friends and family. A loss of life is always tragic and is especially so when that life is so young. Counselors will be available for students and staff who are impacted by this death. We send our thoughts and prayers to the Douglas family during this difficult time.’
Officials have said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
