GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Jackie Nitschke Center in Green Bay is expanding its substance addiction services.
A more than 100-year-old house on Cherry Street has undergone a complete renovation.
What used to be an office and therapy space is now a Men’s Recovery home with a capacity for 12 people. It features six bedrooms, three bathrooms and two living room areas.
The building is one of three treatment and living facilities owned and operated by JNC.
“Our hope and belief is when we provide support to people in recovery, and they provide it to each other in a community setting, that their chances of relapse are less, and their opportunities to kinda launch into more hope, healing and recovery are greater,” Jackie Nitschke Center CEO Larry Connors said.
The project is expected to be completed in late July or early August.
