OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a man charged in multiple counties in connection with a driveway asphalt scam, after he didn’t appear in court.
Mico Miller, 27, was scheduled to appear in Winnebago County Wednesday for a plea & sentencing hearing on five counts of theft by false representation.
Instead, a judge ordered a warrant for his arrest.
Prosecutors allege Miller showed up at people’s homes unsolicited, offering to reseal their driveway. After getting an initial payment in cash Miller would stop work part-way through and then demanded additional payments.
Miller was also charged in several other counties, with similar allegations in each:
- In Waupaca County, he was convicted of theft by false representation, and ordered to pay $5,500 in restitution.
- In Brown County, he was convicted of two counts of theft by fraud, and is scheduled for sentencing July 2
- In Shawano County, he has a plea & sentencing hearing set for June 29 on one theft count
- In Calumet County, a pre-trial conference on two theft counts is set for July 1
- In Dane County, he faces ten charges, and is scheduled for a pre-trial conference July 30
