(Reuters) – The European Union has decided to buy an additional 100 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the head of the European Commission said in a tweet on Tuesday.
The 27-nation EU will then have 300 million doses of the vaccine, which has been assessed as safe and effective, Ursula von der Leyen said.
