CINCINNATI, OH (WTAQ) – A grocery store chain will start offering rapid COVID-19 tests in Central Wisconsin.
Pick ‘n Save stores are now offering rapid COVID-19 antibody tests at their pharmacies. The test will use a finger-prick blood sample to identify COVID-19 antibodies within 15 minutes. The test does not show active COVID-19 infections, it only detects antibodies that have developed in response to the virus.
According to Pick ‘n Save, the test is for individuals who believe they may have already been infected with COVID-19 and are not currently experiencing symptoms.
The rapid antibody tests were initially only available at parent company Kroger stores in California and Michigan. But testing has since been expanded to all locations within the Kroger company including Central Wisconsin locations.
Tests are supplied to Pick ‘n Save pharmacies by Whitmire Medical, are available for $25. Tests can be scheduled at Pick ‘n Save’s website.
