ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Ashwaubenon Public Safety says a person who was walking on Highway 172 died after he was hit by a vehicle.
Crews were dispatched to the area of westbound Highway 172 and Entertainment Dr. just after 10:30 last night (MON) for reports of a male laying on the ground and not moving.
When officers arrived on scene, just west of the entrance to the casino, they found the male was deceased and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle, possibly a Toyota Rav 4.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the crash, to contact them at (920) 492-2995.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification to the family.
The highway was closed for several hours after the incident but has since reopened.
