(WNFL) – The Wisconsin Badgers football schedule will get a makeover.
Yesterday the Big Ten announced it was cancelling all non-conference games, matches and meets for fall sports and would add one game to the Big Ten football schedule, making it a 10-game conference season instead of the current nine.
That means the Badgers who will tenatively open the season on September 4th against Indiana will have a game added to their schedule from Big Ten teams they are currently not scheduled to play.
Those teams are Rutgers, Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State.
The Badgers did have non-conference games against Appalachian State, Southern Illinois and Notre Dame.
Following the cancellation of the game against Notre Dame at Lambeau Field, Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez stated that the University of Wisconsin and Notre Dame would work to reschedule that game.
