FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – Fond du Lac Police are investigating the source of several gunshots heard early Monday morning.
Officers were responding to a domestic abuse incident in the 600 block of Bruce Street around 12:15 a.m. and heard gunshots coming from west of their location along 19th Street. Officers located handgun casings in the roadway of the 200 block of 19th Street.
It is believed that the gunshots were fired from a vehicle.
After canvassing the neighborhood, there were no reports of injuries or property damage due to that gunfire. A person of interest has been identified by detectives, and police say there is no threat to the community at this time. Officers will be re-canvassing the area today.
