GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Within about one month, the Green Bay Police Department has received reports of 43 vehicles being damaged.
In most of these cases, the windows are broken with pellets from BB Guns or air rifles.
A lot of these incidents are occurring on Green Bay’s northwest side.
Lieutenant Jason Allen says the police department and crime stoppers are now temporarily doubling crime tip rewards for information that leads to an arrest.
“We’re going to start for the next month, and hope that we receive some leads from the community that our detectives can follow up on,” said Lt. Allen.
Along with using surveillance videos, you can help keep your vehicle safe by leaving lights on at night, or parking in a garage.
If you have information that could help the Green Bay Police Department and would like to be eligible for a double reward, a limited time offer, contact Crime Stoppers at (920) 432-STOP (7867). You may also submit a tip online at www.432stop.com, or utilize the “P3 Tips” app for crime tips. Otherwise, call Green Bay Police at (920) 448-3200 and request to speak with Lt. Jason Allen at ext. 0922.
